Re-Shaping Urbanism; The Elon Musk Effect

Elon Musk seems to be re-shaping the urbanism. An estimated one century ago, cities used to shape based on manufacturing, services, and industry. Today, however, cities are driven by energy, transportation and internet. While majority of individuals may not be aware about the impact of these factors on urbanism, from where I stand, Elon Musk has played a significant role in sectors which have an incredible effect on urbanism.
First, renewable energy will sustain tomorrow’s cities. In fact, by limitation of fossil fuel resources, renewable energy will become a key principle of city design. So, what would be the role of Elon Musk? Tesla is Elon Musk’s step toward a more energy-efficient, self-sufficient, and resilient future; factually, by creating electric vehicles, Tesla will bring the future from fossil fuel resources to renewable energy-efficient. As a result, EV-friendly environments will naturally evolve.
Besides, Smart transportation will complete this process. Indeed, Elon Musk has plans for public transportation too which is done by the Boring Company. This company act in several levels including; reducing traffic, fast transportation, and Hyperloop, which help reduce commuting time amongst home and workplace. Therefore, Reducing carbon emissions, minimizing the carbon footprint, and lowering the ecological footprint will be inseparable priorities for future cities.
Finally, the sheer impact of Starlink will completely transform cities. Factually, one of the view for tomorrow would be smart-sustainable cities which internet will be an essential aspect of them. By being internet-limitation in various countries, cities, and villages, Starlink will prepare access for all places, nationality, and individuals. For example, government of North Korea blocked the internet access for majority of Korean, but Elon Musk could solve by Starlink. In essence, Starlink is addressing climate change by enabling sustainable connectivity and supporting low-carbon, energy-efficient urban infrastructures in tomorrow’s cities.
What we can conclude? Urbanism has evolved from being shaped by manufacturing, services, and industry to contemporary concerns such as energy, transportation, and internet connectivity have taken center stage. Moreover, emerging issues like climate change, carbon footprint, and ecological footprint are becoming increasingly critical. It appears these factors will gain even greater significance in the future, with Elon Musk; he by projects involving Tesla, Boring Company, and Starlink will play a significant role in re-shaping urbanism through his groundbreaking ideas.
